A Spreadsheet I Built for One Employee Is on Product Hunt Today

A spreadsheet I built years ago for one employee is on Product Hunt today.

That sentence still feels strange to type.

The original was a tab inside my management file.

KPI metrics for my SMM manager.
13 rows.
Weighted scores.
Three performance tiers.

It worked - but only for me.
Only for that role.
Only because I had spent years tuning it inside my own business.

Today, it’s a product anyone can try.

PayByResult helps small teams create KPI-based pay formulas without complex HR software.

Describe a role.
Get metrics, weights, performance tiers, and salary calculation logic.
Then edit the formula, track monthly results, and calculate pay.

The first version is live now.

No big launch machine.
No large audience behind it.
Just a real product, a real problem, and the first public users.

The point of this launch was never to “win the day.”

It was to put PayByResult in front of real users and start learning from how they actually use it.

If you run a small team and want to try it, the first formula is free - no account needed.

Product Hunt page below it for anyone who wants to support the launch.
